Operations Supervisor - International Freight

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands on Supervisory role for either an experienced Operator looking for the next step in their career or a current Supervisor that is sick of the suburban commute and wants to work within the hustle and bustle of the CBD.

DUTIES
Supervising/mentoring a small operations team
Arrange import transport
Export shipment processing
Shipping line detention management
Management of shipment status reports
Oversight/management of VIP Shipments
Operational accounting
Review operational process, change implementation, business improvement
Monitor offshore team transport workflow
Manage operational workflow between Customs and Transport functions
Operational troubleshooting (imports, exports and transport)
Assist GM Ops with special projects
Planning internal and external resources for seasonal workloads
Management of client / supplier database

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
5 years minimum operations experience
Able to work autonomously and solve problems
Very high written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic
