The Role:What This Opportunity's All About
We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Clinical Engineering team on a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) basis.
Clinical Engineering provides a service to all Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB) clinical departments and facilities, including the Chatham's, West Coast DHB and has external service contracts with private hospitals and health centres. The primary role of the Clinical Engineering team is to advise, maintain (through regular maintenance cycles) and repair clinical equipment throughout Canterbury. The core skill set is electronics/electrical including mechanical elements. This service is essential to the continued operation of CHDB clinical equipment. Clinical Engineering plays a key role in facilities planning, procurement, asset management and commissioning of new facilities.
In this role, you will be using your strong leadership skills to manage a large team with daily operations whilst setting and maintaining hospital KPI's aligning external and internal service level agreements. You will come from a technical/trade background and have in depth knowledge of 'customer service centricity'. Excellent time management and organisation skills will be your top qualities and your ability to work under pressure would be second to none. You will be personable, have initiative, flexibility and will enjoy being challenged.
Required skills:
Minimum three years' experience in a management role
Minimum five years' experience working in an electronics/electrical/mechanical role
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Outlook, Excel etc)
Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management systems - EAM (desirable)
