Operations Coordinator (Shipping And Freight)

They are currently on the hunt for an Operations Coordinator to join their team in Onehunga. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday 8.30am 5.00pm (however on the odd occasion you may be required to work later due to the nature of the industry) and you will be joining a team of 5 professionals.
Some ofthe duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Import & Export operations (order placement right through to organising deliveries and invoicing)
Customer Service via phone and email
Ensuring the right import / export requirements are followed as per NZ regulations
Being proactive to ensure any shipping delays are communicated and rectified
Development of the export trade lanes, software and systems
Assist in the expansion of their project freight division with responsibility for fielding and reply to overseas enquiries from within their network
Assist where & when necessary, with 'special event' logistics (i.e.: Festival of Motor Sport/tours etc).
Following up with new and existing client requires

To be successful in this role, you will haveknowledge of the logistics, shipping or international freight day to day functions along with having a positive can-do attitude, self-motivation and willingness to learn.
You will also need:
A passion for helping people and be a car fanatic (like them)
A full drivers licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A good sense of humour with outstanding customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and efficient time management skills
Ambition and a real hunger to succeed
