The Opportunity
Our Risk Advisory team is seeking an experienced and driven Manager to join our team in Christchurch. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a passionate leadership team that is focused on our success in the Christchurch market. There is focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, business development while maintaining exceptional client service. Via this opportunity you will lead high-performing teams, provide coaching and support on both technical and soft skills. You will influence clients and teams, aligning people to objectives and setting priorities and direction.

We are a diverse team with diverse range of skill sets - amongst our team we have a keen mountaineer, a table tennis champion and other hidden talents which you might discover. We have the largest risk advisory services team in the South Island with extensive knowledge in IT Advisory, Security Architecture, Cyber Risk, Forensic, Discovery, Governance, Risk Management and Internal Audit.
As a Manager, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

Managing and executing client engagements. That includes but not limited to scoping, delivering and reporting.
Experience in advising clients on designing, implementing or improving enterprise risk management systems, processes, and frameworks to enhance strategic alignment with business goals, enable effective decision making and response, and monitor regulatory compliance.
Lead teams to establish, develop and improve high-performing risk and internal audit functions.
Advise clients on how to manage risk across change and transformation Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues; Use a data driven approach to help clients understand areas of risk and improve the effectiveness of key functions Ability to build an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and stay up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices Ability to demonstrate an understanding of engagement economics to profitability deliver client engagements.
Ability to plan and oversee execution of comprehensive operational risk management transformations to enable achievement of strategic objectives

Your profile

4-5 years’ experience in a similar role – in a big 4, consulting or internal audit environment
Strong knowledge of Internal Audit, Risk and Governance frameworks, Performance, Controls, and Assurance
Experience of managing and delivering complex audit, risk and governance engagements for large organisations;
CIA/CA/CISA qualified will be an advantage.
Tertiary qualification preferably with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting, management information systems and/or computer science
Self driven, focused on developing others and the practice
Ability to influence clients and internal stakeholders
Excellent communication and report writing skills
