Your Purpose
This is a multi-faceted role encompassing delivering strategic planning and implementation of Operational Excellence improvements across the Waikato Distribution Centres/ Waikato Hub. As an Operational Improvement Manager, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders across the Hub and nationally and work closely on projects ensuring effective delivery of business plans and meeting wider business requirements.
The role will also provide support for the sustainable operational performance improvement of the Waikato Hub relevant to cost to serve, costs, quality, productivity, safety, sustainability, and engagement.
Other key responsibilities include:
Identify gaps, capture critical activities requiring standardisation and implement sustainable initiatives
Facilitate teams to develop efficient and effective operations of all processes
Ensure improvement projects are based on sound business cases driven by reliable data analysis
Support the leadership team through coaching & facilitating best practices
Drive operational performance of New Zealand Distribution Centres through optimising product flow and movements

What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to instil trust and influence best practice. You will have problem solving and analytical abilities and experience managing projects and activities leading to optimisation of overall performance. Other key requirements include:
A Supply Chain / Business / Engineering Degree
Experience in leading structured lean manufacturing/continuous improvement initiatives within a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment
Ability to connect and work with a broad range of stakeholders
Proven proficiency with financial budgets and strategy deployment
Experience working within the Dairy, Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry would be preferred
