On-Call Cleaner(S) | Casual | Christchurch

This position involves covering for staff who are on leave or away for anything from 1 day to a few weeks at a time and would suite a student looking for occasional work to earn some extra spending money.
It is primarily working unsupervised to provide a high quality cleaning service to the various hospitals and health sites in and around the Christchurch area and requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and have the ability to manage their own time in order to meet deadlines.
Although this application is primarily for night cover, we may include and consider applications for school holidays, early morning, day and weekend work - To be discussed
The role is fairly physical and includes manual handling, working with chemicals and machinery, lifting, stretching, bending and standing for long periods of time. Depending on the time and area to be covered, working around hospital patients with various illnesses and/or mental health issues may be required.
To fulfill our health and safety, Infection control and working with patients requirements, reading, writing and communicating in English is mandatory.
You will need to also be physically fit, able to follow instructions and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
You can expect to earn a minimum of $18.60 per hour for your time. You will need to be able to work flexible shifts on a 24/7 roster throughout the week. You will need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours as well.
