Busy role based in Wiri, Auckland
Strong bookkeeping skills required
This Auckland branch of a large New Zealand group is involved in the design and fabrication of products used in the building and construction industries.
The position of Office Manager has become available and is the ideal role for an experienced, calm individual able to take on a busy and key role in the organisation.
Supporting a very busy Accountant, key tasks include:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial and management accounts
Assisting with monthly general ledger reconciliations
Completing weekly and monthly payrolls
Sales and Accounts Receivable – process new account applications, manage full progress billing process, follow up on outstanding debtors
Accounts Payable – suppliers, freight, and intercompany
Inventory – process despatched product, receipt inwards goods and material, and complete WIP physical stock take
Assist with cash flow management
Completion of GST, FBT and PAYE returns and payments, together with all other Government and local body compliance reporting
The key skills and experiences required include:
Proven financial accounting skills at least to trial balance level
Previous experience in a manufacturing organisation would be ideal, along with an understanding of product costing and inventory management
Calm and unruffled in a busy and demanding environment
Accurate with a very strong attention to detail, and be able to multi-task
Hands on – you will enjoy being involved in the factory activities and processes
Very good Excel skills
Knowledge of manufacturing ERP accounting systems would be an advantage
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
The business has a continuous number of job sites and orders, each requiring very high accuracy in the recording and allocation of data. Your love of working with numbers will be an asset to you; along with being naturally organised and able to cope with a demanding role. Previous experience with project accounting work would be a great advantage.
