Youth Transitions Advisor

Are you inspired by working with youth? This role facilitates our Workchoice Programme to South Auckland secondary schools.The Skills Workchoice programme is about teaching young people the essential employ-ability and work-readiness skills they need to successfully transition into employment. The Workchoice programme is a hands on, activity-based programme to get students engaged through interactive workshops.IMPORTANT TO USHumans!We use a human approach at Skills, so we've got great people who are passionate and inspired by what they do.Supporting YouthWe're looking for a genuinely passionate person who really enjoys engaging and assisting youth with their transition into work. You will have your own portfolio of responsibilities to manage within a small passionate team including:Leading and facilitating the delivery of the Workchoice programme over the next 18 months to targeted secondary schoolsSelling the Workchoice progamme to non-funded SchoolsSupporting, growing and understanding other transitions programme's within the TeamThe nuts and boltsFor you to enjoy this role and help you succeed in it, you will already have the following:Demonstrated youth facilitation or youth development skills, about 2-5 years' experienceNaturally have high energy, to help engage with Youth and keep their interest!You understand working with Maori and Pacific students primarilyUnderstand the landscape of partnering with schools and of course building rapport with both Students and TeachersPick things up quickly, to help both you and the TeamIMPORTANT TO YOULife AND Career!
