We are so passionate about the gear we sell that you will see us out there on the track, trails and anywhere an outdoor adventure is to be had.Job DescriptionAs a member of the Torpedo7 Sourcing and Product Development team, the Torpedo7 Product Development Manager, General Merchandise will be managing the product development, sourcing and production processes from concept through to delivery whilst working closely with the Category Managers.In this role, you will support the Head of Sourcing & Product Development and manage everyday working relationships with the wider Category team by taking responsibility of the sourcing strategies of new suppliers, products and components aligning with the company’s ethical values and quality standards met.Key responsibilities:Contribute, optimize and implement Torpedo7’s direct sourcing strategy - building on existing and onboarding new supplier relationshipsCustomer-centric and commercial product developmentWork with Category Managers and designers to identify key product / component and materials trends along with sourcing gaps and opportunitiesOrder placement in line with the Torpedo7 direct supply base strategy and in-line with the right margins and delivery timeframesLiaison with QA team – manage critical path deadlines and changesContinuous development and improvement processes and manage lead timesQualificationsTo succeed in this role, you’ll have proven sourcing/product development experience, thorough understanding of product construction, materials and component costs, backed with strong analytical capabilities and excellent relationship/supplier management, communication and negotiation skills.
