If you are looking to work in a fast growing and innovative area of law, joining our market leading Financial Services team may be right for you. We are currently looking for a talented and driven intermediate lawyer.
Our busy Financial Services team advises on investment funds (KiwiSaver, retail funds and private equity/venture capital), FinTech, and financial services regulation. Our clients span tier 1 financial institutions, leading boutiques and new entrant market disruptors from New Zealand and overseas. We break new ground regularly, from cutting edge and traditional products for banks, fund managers and financial advisers, to virtual asset service providers, to cryptocurrency and digital assets infrastructure. We are also regularly dealing with regulators such as the FMA, RBNZ, DIA, MBIE and MoJ, on behalf of our clients.
Our team is ranked Band 1 for investment funds by both Chambers and the Legal 500.
As the ideal candidate you will have 3-5 years' financial services experience from another top tier law firm or financial institution. We are also open to people wanting to make a step change in their career from markets, corporate or litigation to enter this exciting field. You will have developed a strong commercial approach, have good academics and technical skills as well first-rate communication skills that enable you to build lasting relationships both internally and externally. If successful, you will be joining a team which is highly collaborative and enjoys working together.
