What does an outstanding "Mobile Technical Lead" do?
The Professional Services (PS) team is responsible for the delivery of mobile banking solutions to our clients. Delivery includes pre-sales support, gap analysis, project management, branding, development of improvements and extension, localisation, integration, quality assurance, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer - Technical Lead, you will be encouraged to contribute to all aspects of project delivery. This is a key role within the software development process, and will provide technical leadership on both a project and PS team level, engaging with stakeholders to ensure that technical and architectural vision is realized in accordance with the quality and architectural goals for Professional Services. You will also be involved with other initiatives defined by the management team including process improvement, training, infrastructure and tools.
Job Requirements
You’ll have:
5+ years hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging and testing object oriented code, of which:
3+ years working on e-Commerce applications
2+ years working on high volume transactional systems
Financial/banking sector experience is an advantage
An advanced understanding of iOS development with Swift/ObjC or Android development with Kotlin/Java.
An advanced understanding of object orientated design principals.
A solid grasp of software development patterns and their application in several programming languages.
An advanced understanding of coding techniques which contribute to the reliability, maintainability, readability, simplicity, performance, and testability of software.
A solid understanding of IT environments including networking, server technologies, databases, security and performance.
Experienced in the day-to-day practicalities of Software Development Lifecycles such as Scrum.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Both iOS and Android native development
