Job Description

This senior role reports directly to the Site Manager and is responsible for leading implementation and management of Operational Risk Management (ORM) work streams including Environmental, Health & Safety, Business Continuity, Asset Conservation, Facility Security and Sustainability. As a key member of the site leadership team the incumbent will ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement in all ORM work streams. About the role: Lead the development and implementation of annual Improvement plans in relation to Environmental Health and Safety, Asset Conservation, Facility Security and Sustainability. Develop site risk management processes and strategic plans. Lead delivery of continuous improvement in risk management performance and manage associated site steering meetings. Lead processes that improve management competence and raise commitment to cultivate a proactive safety culture that encourages ownership, continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. Proactively ensure that site employees are competent to manage all safety critical activities. Lead dealings with regulatory authorities and insurance companies in all matters relating to ORM. Direct the activities of the site security team and deliver compliance to company standards for facility security. Develop and maintain systems that facilitate the reporting of all ORM KPI’s and relevant score cards. Benchmark the sites performance against other Kraft Heinz sites, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practices. Attainment and thereafter annual maintenance of certification to ISO 14001 Environmental Standard. Ensure the site is always fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. Support the prevention and management of sickness and injury related absence. About you: A proven track record of results and continuous improvement in ORM or related roles. Experience in leading significant changes and delivery of strategic objectives within a complex manufacturing environment. Strong people influencing skills including communication, relationship building, motivational and staff development. Think and act like an owner with a “can do” approach accompanied by positive and urgent behaviour. Deliver on what you say you’ll do, always maintaining a high level of integrity. An understanding of New Zealand legal systems, regulatory processes and relevant legislation. Understanding and experience with Safety Management Systems such as ACC Partnership Program. Sound technical knowledge, excellent understanding of ORM metrics and high level of computer literacy. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
