Are you an experienced intermediate or senior stormwater engineer looking to play an important role in future-proofing one of the fastest growing regions in New Zealand?
Due to significant growth in our district, we are looking for stormwater-focused civil engineers to help our busy Waste and Drainage Department deliver on a wide range of stormwater projects.
These include:
Addressing the backlog of maintenance requirements aimed at meeting and maintaining levels of service.
Condition assessment of existing assets to develop long term programs for renewal projects.
Developing catchment management plans to meet evolving water quality discharge standards that the government are focused on.
Investigating the effects of flooding within our communities.
Developing strategies to deal with climate change.
Skills and experience that we are looking for:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A tertiary qualification in Water Engineering or Civil Engineering [Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) preferable].
Civil engineering design.
Hydrology, hydraulics of pipe and open channel networks.
Catchment planning.
Water quality treatment.
Flood risk assessment.
Resource Consent compliance.
Technical assessments of land development applications.
Construction management.
