We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent customer service skills to join the Faculty of Education & Social Work on our beautiful Epsom Campus, with Maungawhau Mt Eden on your doorstep and free car parking to cap it off!
The opportunity
This is a varied and dynamic role, where you will become the go-to person for advising on all aspects of student services processes for current and prospective Maori students.
You’ll be the first point of contact for current and prospective Maori students, providing advice and support to assist them with all aspects of recruitment, admission, enrolment, academic progress and completion.
You’ll provide culturally-specific expertise to current and prospective Maori students to support and maintain tikanga and ahuatanga of Te Puna Wananga.
You’ll engage with the community to develop productive and collaborative relationships with iwi, hapu, kura and other Maori organisations.
You’ll also present at recruitment events, seminars and presentations for the University.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of providing exceptional customer service and coordinating Maori recruitment and programme induction to prospective Maori applicants and students.
An understanding of the New Zealand tertiary education sector, and equity issues affecting students, is critical to this role, so we envisage you’ll be tertiary-qualified yourself or have worked in the sector previously.
You’ll be experienced in Maori community development and liaison, and skilled in Te Reo Maori and tikanga.
You’ll also be a confident and effective communicator, comfortable with delivering presentations and workshops, with the interpersonal skills to make you a success with your audience.

If you have experience providing first-class customer service, are friendly, engaging with great interpersonal and communication skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note that a full and current NZ driver’s license is required for this role.
