Nurses in General Practice make a difference to the health and wellbeing of people, whanaus and their communities. They contribute towards improving equitable health outcomes and provide advanced, high quality nursing care in high performing multidisciplinary team.
This is a casual role working on an on call basis, Monday to Sunday.
Do you have what we are looking for?
A current New Zealand practicing certificate is essential
Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
Prior experience in a medical centre is desirable
Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
Willing to continually learn and improve
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong rapport with team members.
Confident, friendly and approachable.
You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
Computer literate
