Reporting to the Manager of Operational Excellence, you will collaborate with business units across Suncorp to deliver improvements identified and researched by the wider team. Operational Excellence sits within Business Transformation, a newly-created team with a remit to identify and progress large-scale, transformative change.
You will need to be able to translate the enterprise vision so that the necessary changes are successfully deployed within verticals in the company. An exciting part of the role is the ability to take a horizontal view and encourage the breakdown of silos through facilitating collaboration and the adoption of best practices. With a focus on simplification and digitisation, you will need excellent stakeholder management skills. This role is crucial to leading and driving performance and process improvement initiatives, eliminating, automating and/or reducing waste in our processes, and providing insights across Suncorp New Zealand. You will need to record evidence of the impact of changes and work closely with other Business Transformation practices, such as Business Readiness and Data.
What we are looking for:
3+ years’ experience in process quality, operations or project management
Certification or proficient knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Six-Sigma (to Green Belt level), Lean, TQM, Kaizen, etc.
Ability to create models to provide leaders with options
Broad knowledge of work processes and quality system requirements
Proven analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong relationship management skills
