The Global health team is recruiting for an Advisor to support the Ministry's international work in relation to COVID-19. Responsibilities will include providing information and analysis on what is happening internationally, coordinating and supporting international requests as well as supporting the Group Manager liaise with other stakeholders, domestically and internationally. Other non-COVID-19 tasks will be required from time to time.
The Global health team provides centralised co-ordination and thought leadership for the Ministry and New Zealand's global health responsibilities. Global health sits within the Office of the Director General (ODG). ODG leads, enables and supports public service excellence by providing timely, high-quality advice, communications and service to Ministers, ELT and the wider Ministry; and by providing organisational leadership and governance support.
The role of Advisor, Global Health and Director-General Advisory is an existing role that is responsible for providing objective analysis and advice to support, maintain and improve the delivery of a high quality work programmes.
