ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is located in Wellington CBD and they provide the infrastructure, security and support to NZ domains. They aim to make sure the Internet is accessible, open, and secure for all New Zealanders.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be part of a six person infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the operational infrastructure for the client. The role will work closely with the research and policy team as well as software developers to advance our DNS platform.
DUTIES
Develop, implement and maintain technical strategies, policies and procedures for DNS systems.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of DNS Hardware and Software
Network administration, usage and disaster recovery
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
Perform periodic performance reporting
Create and maintain documentation where required
Provide 24/7 on-call support to the on-call team
Be the SME
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong knowledge of DNS, DNSSRC and routing protocols
Have an understanding with a large scale name server infrastructure
Have the ability to be on-call to support the team
Experience in conducting automation, tests and documentation
Ideally you would have experience in Python
