Senior Asset Engineer Babcock International Group the engineering services company has been trusted to deliver bespoke highlyskilled engineering services for over a century With revenue of around AU 9 billion in 2016 17 we help customers improve the capability reliability and availability of their most critical assets within our market sectors of Marine Land and Aviation underpinned by a deep understanding of technology integration unique infrastructure and specialist training In Australia and New Zealand Babcock employs over 725 staff and operates across aviation marine defence mining and construction cyber security and engineering consultancy The opportunity Timely informed engineering advice is at the heart of what our Asset Management team deliver to support and enable RNZN ships as they support NZ s interests at sea As one of our Senior Asset Engineers you are likely to be adding significant value in any one of the following areas Defining the near and long tern maintenance needs of RNZN vessels Analysing equipment trials and performance data and ensuring action on your assessment Identifying and driving solutions to equipment obsolescence Conducting platform and equipment material state surveys to inform platform operational risk and future works Leading or informing technical investigations including the use of FMEA RCM methodologies Improving the quality of RNZN equipment data to best effect About you An experienced engineer with an understanding of military or maritime assets you will have exemplary interpersonal skills and will revel in making the complex look and sound simple Delivering value to a diverse set of requirements you will be an authentic individual able to combine practical and analytical considerations to drive the best resolutions for the customer What is in it for you Working with a passionate team committed to supporting the needs of our Naval partner you will derive a huge sense of achievement in delivering a stepchange in complex asset management within the NZDF We are based onsite at the Devonport Naval base with the most spectacular views of Auckland Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force NZDF Security Clearance Babcock NZ Ltd Babcockinternational com
