Field Supervisor Wasterwater Watercare Maintenance Services Networks are looking for a motivated and experienced supervisor for our Wastewater team based in Penrose Maintenance Services Networks are responsible for the delivery of the water and wastewater reactive planned and routine maintenance for the Central Network region for Watercare Services Limited We have a core base of ongoing work commitments 24 7 365 As the field supervisor Wastewater Reactive Drainage you will be responsible for the day to day operational supervision of the field crew and contracted third party specialist resources performing the Central Network region reactive maintenance contract works for Watercares Network Operations team We are seeking individuals who have proven people management skills to enable planning and completion of the jobs to ensure they are completed safely on time on budget to quality and to the satisfaction of our clients The field supervisor Wastewater Reactive Drainage will organise the necessary resources and equipment to meet reactive maintenance requirements and to plan routine preventative and project works to ensure efficient high quality and low customer impact performance of the required work tasks You will manage the reactive maintenance roster and provide adequate coverage to maintain agreed service delivery standards 24 7 365 Ensuring safe high quality and contractually compliant operations are reliably performed at all times To recruit and retain high performing field crew and contract personnel To manage performance through timely and appropriate steps to address the individual performance issues You will be required to participate in the Duty roster to provide escalated incident management and to manage higher level escalations as appropriate This is an outstanding opportunity for someone wanting to gain real practical experience in a supportive environment with career progression opportunities To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has the following Proven people management skills Experience in supervising and mentoring onsite staff Good work ethic Tertiary level qualification in Civil Engineering preferred but not essential Level 4 National Certificate with strand in Wastewater and Stormwater or approved equal qualification preferred Practical experience in the wastewater utilities sector with a very good understanding of wastewater reticulation networks A commitment to Health and Safety Strong communication skills both written and oral and a good level of computer literacy Current clean Class 1 NZ drivers licence
