THE POSITION
As part of the Wai-Tautoko whanau, this exciting role is an integral part of our events team. You will be responsible for managing a variety of different events, working autonomously, being supported by your peers and management.

In particular, this role is responsible for the planning and delivery of our Corporate Events and leveraging our brands (Te Whanau O Waipareira / Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency / Whanau Tahi) through various events, sponsors and partnerships within the community and across New Zealand.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural go-getter with a passion for delivering exciting and successful events. You will have excellent communication skills - both written and oral and have the ability to be adaptable and work under tight time frames.

You will also need the following:5 years experience in event management or a hospitality role with transferable skills
Proven practical project management experience
Demonstrable experience in delivering successful events, on budget and above specifications
Ability to be an effective manager leading a team
Excellent written and verbal communication
A natural aptitude for building relationships
An eye for detail, it is the little things that count!!
Outgoing and confident
Friendly, positive, upbeat and enthusiastic
Punctual and reliable
A great team player and can work together with a variety of people
An understanding of tikanga maori
A high level of confidentiality
A good understanding of Health & Safety Practices
THE LOCATION
Based in modern premises located in the heart of West Auckland, Henderson township, we are a 2-minute walk from all rail/bus transport hub and large-scale malls, stores and eateries.
