This is an opportunity for you to join a strong and experienced team and lead them to success. Reporting to the development manager, you will be part of an international teams with offices across the globe working on delivering financial solutions to their corporate and individual customers.
This 30 year old business has one of the most established and respected brands in the sector. This position is crucial in the software development process, as you will be helping your team delivering applications and features that are developed using a variety of technologies and platforms.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Identify, remove, delegate or escalate impediments that will prevent the team from achieving their Sprint and/or release goals
Ensure that the team is represented at all meetings required as part of day to day operations
Facilitate the Technical and non-technical elaboration of product backlog items that the team is scheduled to deliver
Have an input into the planning and execution of the company’s strategic direction
Enable change and growth in the business
Still be heavily involved in coding and development
Write and deliver unit/integration tests and contribute to system documentation
Key Requirements:
Relevant qualifications/experience in Software development, backed by references. This is a leadership position that will need you to adequately manage your time between hands-on delivery and leading the team.
You have experience a strong background in development back and front end, and coding across ideally a variety of languages: C#, Javascript, Oracle, Git, MVC, ASP.Net, React JS, .NET Core, Jira, Jenkins, Octopus
You have agile experience and willingness to follow and improve processes
You have great verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
You have strong organizational skills to enable identification of required tasks, deadlines, planning and prioritization of these tasks in an appropriate manner.
You have good understanding of the System Development Life Cycle with emphasis on Lean/Agile principles, and relational database experience
You must be locally based with all valid work rights in New Zealand.

A negotiable salary around $120,000 per annum, negotiable for the right candidate, as well a whole array of benefits such as annual performance-based bonus, flexible working environment, share plan, gym membership discount, annual leave day increase with tenure each year, paid health insurance etc.
