The purpose of this position is to manage the store and its operation in an effective and manner.Responsibilities for the role Focus on customers at all times Work within the team to provide customers a safe and clean store always while maintaining confidentiality to the highest level Identify current and future customer requirements Establish and maintain rapport with customers Formulate pricing by reviewing merchandising activities Check stock levels and daily cleaning Assist with budgeting and reviewing Adhere to Safety Regulations Abide laws and regulations while selling goods to customers Promote and advertise the outlet's goods and services Assist in determining recruitment needs and schedule/plan interviews when need arises Organize, plan and arrange staff training and train new staff Liaise with computer technicians to maintain computer systems Promote and maintain the reputation of the store Deal with accountant for PAYE and GST Responsible for daily banking, staff rosters and staff salaries (if need be) Liaising with Govt. organisation such as police and council officers Enforce security measures by monitoring video surveillance equipment and keeping an eye on suspicious activity at work place, monitoring anything that appears suspicious or threatening Must regularly do a physical count of products for inventory purposes Must process and record credit and debit card transactions and cash purchases to help with auditing and balance sheet Demonstrate Cash Management and reconciliation Counter sales and payment transaction processing Stock management Working with sincerity and honesty to keep the site clean and tidy Skills and experience Commitment to early start shifts daily - mandatory Good Maths skills with the ability to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics Proficient user of computer systems Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills Problem solving skills Diploma in Business Management would be ideal Benefits and perks
