Emerge Aotearoa is a social services organisations providing a range of services to whanau, including Health and Disability, Youth and Emergency Housing. Our kaimahi all have a common goal - helping people realise their potential with the aim of supporting people to live their best life as independently as possible.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Manager who has a background in community care. You will lead a busy mobile team working alongside another service manager.
The service provides support to whanau who are living independently in the community. Outcomes include good health, a clean dry warm home to live in, employment or further learning, budgeting, exercise and home skills. We encourage people to participate in community activities and to build their own strong community support networks and relationships with whanau/family. It is vital that you are client centred and solution focused in your approach.
The role involves mentoring staff , problem solving, connecting with other agencies, generating reports, auditing and on call once every 6 weeks, and is rewarding and challenging. A Health professional qualification is an advantage.
The team you will lead is experienced and full of fun. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30- 5.00 pm and based in Central Auckland.

You will have:
An in depth knowledge of working with adults within mental health and/or intellectual disability sectors
Experience working alongside clinical specialists as well as working in a community setting
At least two years' management experience
Worked positively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve service objectives
A relevant level 7 tertiary qualification in business or management is essential
A health practitioner's qualification is an advantage.
This position requires a full Drivers Licence and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
