An opportunity has arisen to practise and enhance your Occupational Therapy skills at theRegional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient ServiceRRAIS, part of the Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability Service. RRAIS is a 13 bed unit serving the Central Region DHBs. We are a bicultural service based on kaupapa Maori frameworks combined with mainstream researched based psychiatry approaches.
We have a belief that adolescents sometimes need a space where they can feel safe and be helped to make some sense of their chaotic world. We believe it is essential that youth can have a voice and feel that they have been heard.
Requirements:
Passionate about working with Whanau and rangatahi.
Able to bring your skills to an inpatient setting.
Motivated, thoughtful and professional.
Have an understanding of a Maori World View.
A team player.
Have a least 2 years mental health experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist and/or completed the NESP.
Current Practising Certificate.
