TDHB have an exciting opportunity in the ICT Services Infrastructure Team for a skilled Operations Engineer.
The Operations Engineer will be our first point of contact for all operations related matters in the Infrastructure space. Working with a group of knowledgeable and friendly Engineers, and a SQL DBA, you will look to resolve BAU requests as they arrive; or pass them to a subject matter expert within or external to the Infrastructure team.
The primary focus will be with our on-premises solutions and infrastructure; however we are currently developing cloud strategy, and the ideal candidate would have experience in both on-prem and off-prem infrastructure technologies.
Next year is set to be an exciting year for the team, with several agreed programmes of work, including the development of significant technology refreshes alongside the commission of a large new hospital building. In this regard, we will need lots of input from this role on improvements and efficiencies we could implement in the operational space.
There may be opportunity for project involvement with Infrastructure initiated projects, as well as projects external to our team - in terms of the operationalisation of new solutions - however, this position is ideal for those who want to focus on delivering excellent operational support, which is essential to our collective success.
This opportunity is pitched squarely at those already well experienced in the realm of Infrastructure Operations, however applications from individuals who believe they can demonstrate a readiness to 'step up' within their application are also welcome to apply.

The hours of the role are 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break. You may be occasionally required to work outside these hours (e.g. system changes, emergencies), however TDHB promotes a healthy work/life balance, and so, unplanned instances of afterhours work are generally kept to a minimum.
The incumbent will be required to go on-call approximately once a month, which is recompensed separately to the salary for this role.
