This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on designing, building, securing and maintaining IT services IT services to high operation standards with a real eye for detail.
This is a unique role where you will be the conduit between both architecture teams and Watercare management. You will keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and mentor junior engineers on operational best practice and new technologies and strategies.
Reporting into the Cloud & Infrastructure Manager, you will also be responsible for;
Lead and coordinate internal and external projects; actively participate in projects and working groups
Monitor infrastructure activity, resource usage and capacity, as well as contribute toward the continuous improvement of operation processes and procedures
Applying technical expertise across systems to support cross-functional squad members and delivery
Develop productive relationships with all stakeholders that ensure business requirements are understood and executed to agreed plan
To be successful in this role you will have:
Extensive experience in ITIL best practice including incident, change & problem management, as well as have proven commercial experience in infrastructure management including Microsoft OS, virtualization, network & security
Extensive experience in cloud technologies including Azure & AWS; can demonstrate having managed large cloud environments
Proven commercial experience working in a senior technical role and cloud automation
Tertiary level qualification in an appropriate discipline and have excellent communication skills (written and oral)
