Ko ta matou mahi - Our role
We're are currently recruiting for Senior Building Inspectors to join our recently formed National Building Consent Authority. Reporting to the Building Inspections Team Leader, you'll provide assistance with the management of the Inspections team ensuring the consistent quality of inspections and related activity. This means that the right processes are being followed, staff are appropriately allocated work within their competency, and have the right training and support. The role needs people skills, and significant building construction and / or inspections knowledge and expertise.
Nga pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring
A relevant building or design qualification of experience to achieve the required NZ Building Act 2006 Regulation 18
5 - 10 years experience in a construction management or building regulatory role
2 - 5 years experience in a building inspections role
Excellent building technical knowledge, application and awareness
Strong legislative knowledge, application and understanding (including revoked legislation)
A high level of communication and relationship management skills
