Technical Assembly Engineer - Fixed-Term - Tauranga

We are a fast growing company based in Tauranga. Our customer base is New Zealand and Australia. We design and manufacture specialised harsh environment touch hardware and specialised products. Our design team, design in 3D Cad, develop electronic circuit boards and program micro controllers.We are looking for two technical assembly engineers to join our team on a fixed-term basis till at least the end of October 2019. Hours of work are 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
The work is interesting and varied. You will be working on the assembly of electrical products, including soldering. Training will be provided.
We have a wide range of niche products that are assembled to our customers' requirements. You could get involved in many different technical challenges.
We want confident, competent and hardworking individuals with practical engineering work experience who can rise to any technical challenge. We need you to have good attention to detail, and to be a can-do person.
Communication with colleagues is essential for this role, so you must work well with others. Your written and verbal communication skills must be excellent.To be suitable, you will: Be all-round technically strong Have attention to detail Be a problem solver
A background in mechanical and/or electrical/electronics engineering is an advantage.
We are a growing company and we may have a new full-time position and other roles in the near future.
