Backpacker Assistant/Cleaner

We are a small (6 bedroom) Backpackers situated in the heart of Oamaru, Otago. We are seeking an individual to help us with daily duties such as cleaning, check in/check out of guests, gardening, assisting with guest inquiries and taking bookings.You should have a good level of English, some basic computer skills and a friendly outgoing personality. You would be working on a roster of 24- 30hrs per week (usually 3 full days of 8 hours, 2-3 cleaning shifts of 2 hours) with at least 2 days off per week to explore what our region has to offer. In exchange you will be provided with a semi-private room, WIFI, power, washing, access to our edible garden and also breakfast. This is mainly a work for accommodation exchange - the cost of accommodation will be deducted from your pay. Any hours worked will be paid @ $17.70 + 8% holiday pay - so you must have a valid work visa, bank account and IRD number. Your contract will explain this fully when you start. This job would start ASAP and with a minium 2 months stay. NZ work visa (working holiday visa) required.
