We are seeking a friendly face to join our passionate international team!Base Backpackers are leaders in the budget accommodation sector, with busy bars, backpackers and a travel desk onsite located in the heart of Taupo. Base Backpackers hire travellers who have a real passion for New Zealand and tourism. The ideal candidates will deliver exceptional customer service, travel sales and most importantly a positive attitude and loads of energy.Skills and Duties will include but are not limited to:· Exceptional Customer Service Skills· Genuinely Helpful · Checking Guests in and out· Reservations· Problem Solving· Cash ups· Answering e-mails and Phone Calls· Promoting and selling Taupo Attractions· Up-selling and Travel Sales· Other languages are definitely a plus but not a necessity.· Having Fun at workYou will be based in a fast paced reception environment, it is very hands on and will suit someone who has attention to detail and has a love for people.Full induction and ongoing training will be provided, with career progression and development being part of the role. Experience in a similar role and experience with reservation software is a definite advantage.You must be able to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.All applicants must be available to work until March 2020 and must have a valid NZ work visa.
