Family Help

We are a relaxed fun kiwi family of seven, where both parents (Dan and Teresa) are stay at home parents with Dan doing relief milking around the area. We have five kids Kayden (12yo boy) Jake (10yo boy) Ruby (9yo girl) Ricky (5yo boy) and Kylie (3yo girl), who love company and are happy to just play outdoors or indoor games with you. We are looking for someone to help us out either short-term (a few weeks) or long-term. It will be best if you can commit to 4 months, but we are open to shorter time periods as well!The nature of dairy farming is that milking sessions occur in the mornings and afternoons for a few hours each time, your more than welcome to lend a hand and see what it’s all about. Your main role will be helping out with odd jobs around the house, helping get the kids ready for school etc and it would be great if you can help out in the evenings with meal preparation occasionally and general tidyness. It will be about 3-4 hours a day, so you have a lot of free time to do your own things. While the kids are at school and you are interested to experience the farm life, you are more than welcome to come milk cows, it is good fun! We have a cat and we are 10 from Te Awamutu and 45 minutes to Matamata where you can find the famous Hobbiton movie set or take a hike up Wairere falls it is a great fitness adventure for all fitness levels. We would like to have someone with a good amount of spoken English, just so it is easier for communication This is an unpaid position and in exchange you will have your own room with a double bed and bedding, Wi-Fi and meals will be provided.
