Bar Person - Lake Ohau Lodge Summer Season

We are looking for an experienced bar person, ideally with their managers certificate, to run our busy south island high country bar from October through to May 2020.You will be required to serve drinks and snacks in the bar, wine wait on tables in our restaurant and in addition it is hoped that you can make a damn fine espresso! At the end of the shift you are required to reconcile the takings and clean the bar and public areas.Lake Ohau Lodge has two distinct seasons. In summer our business centres around our tour business which can be anybody from Contiki to senior citizens. We also host groups of cyclists on the A2O cycle trail, weddings and birthday parties. In winter we operate Ohau Snow Fields and our guests are mostly skiers and snowboarders.We are looking for the right candidate and the position is to start at the beginning of October. Chalet accommodation and meals are provided at $200.00 per week. The wage rate is negotiable and depends on experience and qualifications.This position requires someone with a mature head but a sense of fun, who can work long hours, relate to all ages and happy working in a young team.
