Team Leader It Asset Management

The Council's IT function plays a pivotal role in our organisation through its range of technology and services, supporting the delivery of the Council's services to the community. There is virtually nothing that happens in our organisation without some IT touch.
Reporting to the Manager - Programme and Planning, this new role has responsibility for the strategic management of IT Assets and Licencing to ensure active management and delivery of Asset Planning and Management. The role supports the goal of establishing a best practice Asset & Licencing practice, continuous improvement framework and process improvement opportunities across Information Technology.
This diverse role will test both your technical and people leadership skills and you will
Co-ordinate resources and processes to ensure short/medium-term planning and assets objectives are delivered
Implement Best Practice methodology - using appropriate ITIL compliant processes and following all relevant policies and procedures across Information Technology Asset and Configuration Management.
Lead a small team of skilled IT staff who are responsible for the management of daily IT finance, contracts and asset management.
While you will bring extensive IT experience and qualifications, we're also after someone who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, can lead from the front and who doesn't shy away from a challenge. Previous experience in utilising SAP to support the digitalization of asset management would also be extremely beneficial. This is as much about engaging and embracing change and your fabulous relationship skills will be instrumental in helping others realise the new environment.
