Are you a Physiotherapist with a keen interest in working with children with disabilities? We have an exciting opportunity for you at Kidz First Child Development Team in South Auckland.
The team serves a diverse population holistically to minimise health disparities and advance health gain. By working in this service, you can be sure to gain a lot of experience that will aid significantly to your professional growth.
The preferred applicant will have 2 years previous paediatric experience, with NZ registration as a Physiotherapist and a current practising certificate. Post graduate paediatric experience or Bobath training is desired.
You will be required to work both autonomously and as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. There are multiple development opportunities with clinical supervision and future training possibilities available.
As part of our team of physiotherapists, you will work with children between the ages of 0 – 16 years, in their homes, preschools and school settings and provide therapy in a family centred care model. You would need to have a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence in order to drive our fleet vehicles to get to your appointments.

Essential:
New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current practicing certificate
An understanding of health disability and illness issues and the services available to families
Two years’ physiotherapy experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Negotiation/conflict management skills
Problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full clean New Zealand drivers licence

Desired:
Post graduate qualification would be advantageous
Bobath training
