About the service:
Caring for the oral health of children is incredibly important for their long term health and wellbeing and is a deeply rewarding experience to those providing care. Community Oral Health provides free oral health services for eligible children residing in the Waikato District Health Board area. Services include free dental checks, prevention, and repairing decay if required.
About the role:
We are seeking a dental assistant to join the rural team as part of the Western Pod.
The position involves working on a mobile dental unit in Te Awamutu, Hamilton and surrounding areas, providing assistance with dental care to pre-school and school age children. Travel to Hamilton for training and service needs is sometimes required.
Dental assistants support and assist dental therapists in all aspects of care and clinic administration. The position works within the school terms, though some school holiday work is available at times.

The position would ideally suit someone who has had dental assistant experience or has a work history in customer service. You must have a full current driver's licence to be successful for this role.
