This is a full time permanent position however part time hours or job share will be considered
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Midwife and/or Nurse to lead the Women's Health and Kidz First Professional Development Team, part of the People and Professional Development Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality of patient care through leading the team that supports the development of nursing/midwifery practice, and enabling the wider healthcare workforce to achieve their potential. They will provide professional leadership across the team of midwife and nurse educators and to the wider services aligned to the team. They will contribute to the professional development of the nursing/midwifery workforce, through delivery of education as a midwife and/or nurse educator.
In order to succeed in this position, you will have at least five years relevant clinical experience and three years in a leadership/development role. Excellent communication and time management skills are key to this position.
Leadership development and a relevant post-graduate qualification in education would be preferable.
Essential
Registered Midwife and/or Nurse with a current APC
Experience in the delivery of professional development/education
Five years recent clinical experience
Three years recent experience in a leadership/development role
