About Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities
Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities, brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities is central to the Government's aspirations for housing and urban development. It will work across the housing spectrum to build thriving communities where everyone has a place to call home.
This new organisation will have two key roles - being a public housing landlord, and partnering with the development community, iwi, local and central government to deliver urban development projects of all sizes.
The anticipated start date for this new organisation is 1 October 2019.

The role
Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help us achieve this we are currently recruiting for a Chief Architect to manage the Enterprise Architecture team and take responsibility for leading the wider architectural practice. You will lead and organise our architectural resources and set the technology strategy for the organisation.
You will chair the Technical Design Authority and provide a unified view on whether proposals received are consistent with the technology strategy, roadmap and operating model and will be actively involved in reviewing project deliverables and guiding the Solution Architects working on the delivery of projects.
What you'll need to bring
Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a significant ICT change to improve ICT services delivery across a diverse organisation
Extensive experience in enterprise architecture at various levels and areas
Experience in the use of current architecture frameworks and methodologies
Understanding of capital and operational budgets management
Strong experience with RFIs, RFPs and business cases
