Job Description
A vacancy for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer has become available at Te Kupenga Hauora Maori within FMHS.
This exciting opportunity seeks well-qualified applicants who want to contribute to quality teaching, research and student support in Maori health.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Applicants should have post-graduate qualifications (usually a Doctoral level) in public health or Maori health, or at least a relevant postgraduate qualification in Maori health, public health or education, and be experienced in teaching especially within a clinical environment and supervising post-graduate students.
In addition applicants should be research active and have a developing portfolio of peer-reviewed publications.
You will have a track record of exceptional academic teaching, as well as high quality research and peer-reviewed publications.
Experience in supervising postgraduate students would be advantageous.
Naturally, you will have a demonstrable commitment to health equity for Maori in teaching, research and service. Expertise in, or knowledge of, Te Reo and tikanga Maori would be valued.

About the department:
Te Kupenga Hauora Maori (TKHM) is located at the Tamaki Campus. TKHM coordinates teaching in Maori health across the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and externally, spanning foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate education. There is also a focus on building capacity and developing appropriate teaching practices in Maori health throughout the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
