Community Support Worker - Corrections

Pact is currently looking for two full-time Support Workers for our residential service supporting offenders in the Dunedin area.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people, who will inspire, encourage, be a role model, demonstrate resilience, integrity and professionalism plus have excellent interpersonal skills, a 'can do' attitude and who don't stand in judgement of peoples past. The residential service supports offenders to integrate back in the community.
Your role will include supporting clients to make the right choices, participate in meaningful activities in the community, support with daily house tasks to help them achieve maximum independence and work towards goal achievement.
In this role, you will be required to utilise your knowledge of local networks to deliver this support, while working alongside Pact and Department of Corrections team members to align the support provided.
We operate 24/7 service hours of work, which will include day, evening, weekend, and awake shifts.
Hours of work:
Role One (80 hours per fortnight): Awake Night shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11.00pm - 7.00am
Role Two (80 hours per fortnight): Day/ Evening shifts, exact days TBC
A full driver's licence, clean criminal record and computer skills are essential. You will need to be available for an interview in Dunedin.
If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months.
