Manager

My client, a not profit in South Auckland, is seeking a Manager to lead their woman's social service team to help grow their networks and provide an exceptional service to their community. You will joining a small team who you will lead, and you will report directly to the board.

Ideal Candidate (YOU!):

The following skills and experience are important for this role:

Previous community experience a must!
Previous management experience within a community/not for profit environment
Knowledge of Maori customs and ideologies is essential
Previous experience managing a competent, well trained team
If you're from the area and have community networks that you can tap into, fantastic!
Financial management, you will need to be comfortable reporting to the board
Previous report writing experience
A positive, can do attitude, we're looking for only the best!
The Role:

Some of this role’s responsibilities include:

Develop and train the team made of paid staff and volunteers
Contribute to the organisations reputation, and credibility by building and maintaining strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
Attend forums and networks that benefit the clients
Operate within the budget as set by the board
Provide financial written reports to the board
Negotiate any contract opportunities
Identify fundraising opportunities and other appropriate revenue streams
Your responsibility is to make sure that the services that is being offered to the clients is the best that it can be
