About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, Culture and People, the HR Manager leads a team of seven HR and payroll professionals and takes accountability for facilitating an environment where smart, passionate people can thrive and be successful.

In doing this, the HR Manager will:

Lead a diverse and experienced team of advisors, analysts and payroll specialists; ensuring all team members are engaged, supported and achieving their individual and team goals;
Model our values and lead a culture focused on safety in all facets of delivery;
Contribute as a high performing member of the People and Culture Team; supporting overall planning and execution of operational HR initiatives as well as strategic organisation development initiatives;
Lead the delivery of first-class human resources solutions, services and systems to the business including the delivery of:
Workforce planning and succession initiatives and programmes;
Talent acquisition and recruitment processes and systems;
Employment and Industrial Relations services;
Remuneration and benefits programmes.
Actively manage, coach and support internal customers and stakeholders through the development of strong and effective working relationships.
This role needs a senior HR professional who is a role model for positive leadership and who embraces the culture and strategic objectives of the organisation while leading and driving performance. Sound like you?

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and would have developed your significant capability through generalist and operational human resources roles. You will ideally have exposure to the agri-sector however your understanding of HR operations and working with senior leaders in a commercial context is of higher importance.

Engaging with Unions and experience managing industrial and employment relations is a pre-requisite and your proven skill in best practice remuneration methodologies, recruitment, performance and capability development, data, people metrics and systems will set you apart. A confident and experienced people leader, you will have a proactive style that sees you easily engage with your team and internal customers. A truly down to earth approach, you will be a genuine “Good Sort”: you are genuine, honest and always do what you say you will.
