You will join a team striving to improve outcomes for New Zealanders * You will apply your analytical, research and writing skills to provide advice to Ministers and senior leaders in the public sector
We are looking for senior policy analysts and analysts to work on a range of policy issues

The Policy Group in Internal Affairs supports eight Ministers. We have a flexible approach to managing our work and our analysts can work in any of our portfolio areas, that means you ll have opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects. Our current work programme includes:

Supporting local government to increase its resilience and responsiveness
Supporting the work of the Government Chief Digital Officer
Reviewing online gambling in New Zealand to determine how it should be regulated
Making changes to the Racing Act to modernise racing in New Zealand
Making it easier for people to give back to the community by volunteering

We re looking for solid experience in policy or a complementary discipline. Our work involves a lot of regulatory policy. Senior policy analysts will have the opportunity to lead, mentor and develop others.
