Details of the offer

Are you a student heading into your final year of study?
Following the success of our first programme last year, we are again offering students an opportunity to join to gain some real work experience before you graduate. Come and work with us over the summer, and if you are available throughout the year, there is the possibility of staying on with us as an intern in our Auckland head office throughout 2020.
As you can imagine, the lead up to Christmas is very busy for us, so initially you’ll work closely with our sales team as a Merchandiser, as we partner with our retail customers to deliver fantastic in-store execution. And then there will be the opportunity for some of you to work at head office through 2020 and learn more about this market leading organisation we know and love.
Let’s be honest, merchandising isn’t the most glamorous role, it requires early morning starts and getting your hands dirty as you build displays and stock shelves. But along the way you’ll gain fantastic exposure to the business and the FMCG industry as you learn the ropes.
You’ll also get the opportunity to learn from a passionate and experienced field sales team. We commit to providing you with great training and support, you’ll have heaps of fun along the way and of course there’s access to our famous brands – Cadbury, Oreo, Pascall, and Natural Confectionery Company just to name a few!Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for outstanding individuals: our future leaders; people who can demonstrate great communication skills, a team-player attitude and the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and tasks. You’ll need to be comfortable working in an ambiguous and relatively autonomous environment so being proactive and taking initiative are key requirements for this role. The fine print: You need to be available to work 30-40 hours per week from mid-November through December, and then casually through January and February. Ongoing work through 2020 may also be available during busy seasonal times. Typically you’ll be required to work Monday – Friday but occasionally Sunday nights may be required. A restricted driver’s license is a minimum, and you’ll need to have a car available to use.
We’re passionate about our brands, our customers and we care about your development as much as you do – who knows where a career with us could take you? If you think this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you! Please provide us with a CV and a cover letter stating why you are the best person for the job.
