About the role
We have two vacancies for this role:
Thames/Hauraki-based, permanent, 36 hours per week covering Thames, Hauraki, and Huntly north to the Bombay Hills (inpatients, outpatients and community).
Te Awamutu-based, permanent 40 hours per week covering the Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti, and Taumaranui areas (inpatients, outpatients and community). Also includes one day per week in Hamilton.

We are looking for someone who has the flexibility and capability to provide a dietetic service across a range of clinical areas. Being a rural dietitian means being able to provide care to acutely unwell patients in the hospital, and a wide variety of conditions within the outpatient and community setting, including home based intervention. You will have contact with other health professionals both from within the DHB and through primary care; so we are looking for someone who understands the value of collaborative working.
Appropriate training and peer support will be provided.
Requirements
Clinical, outpatient and community dietetics, experience preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team
Ability to prioritise workload
Adult teaching skills
Innovative approach and adaptive work methods
Full drivers licence is essential
Must hold or be in the process of obtaining New Zealand Dietetic Registration
Current practising certificate
