1.0FTE (80 hours per fortnight) Fixed Term Contract 12-18 months (negotiable)
We are looking for a Medical Oncologist to join our dynamic, innovative, and friendly team with a focus on the delivery of high quality care to the growing population in the Bay of Plenty.
We want to recruit an individual who is going to innovate and integrate medical oncology services across primary and secondary care, and lead service development with a key focus on Maori Health and the growing ethnic diversity in the region. You will also need skills in communication and education with respect to patients, whanau (family) and the community, to strengthen and empower primary and secondary multi-disciplinary services.
In addition we seek an individual who is has the skills to foster a learning culture across undergraduate and postgraduate staff, with the support of the BOP clinical school and the University of Auckland. The school also provides clinical research opportunities.
