We are looking for a Heavy Transport Maintenance Engineer to join a family owned business based in Christchurch. This company is well established and growing, moving to a brand new workshop in the New Year there will be plenty of opportunities for progression.

As a Heavy Transport Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for all maintenance across LPG tankers, ensuring they are up to standards and safe for use. You will be required to complete any repairs or modifications needed that you find while fault finding. The role will also involve the fabrication, installation, overhaul and repair of LPG pipes, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and valves.

To apply for this role you will have-

• Trade Qualification in relevant trade (Fitter Welder, Fitter and Turner etc)
• Experience in the maintenance of vehicles (LPG tankers would be highly advantageous)
• Working knowledge of LPG systems
• Experience using a range of workshop machines and equipment
• Class 4/5 and Forklift licence is desirable
• MIG TIG Welding
• Ability to work in a team and also independently
• Own tool set
