Beekeeper With Experience

Kintail Honey Ltd is a 70 year old established family business. Kintail produces, buys, packs,sells and markets honey. It is involved in a variety of crop pollination and also produces package bees and queens for export.
The Kintail Group of Companies has four bases with 12,000 hives in total. We have bases in Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Te Puke.
We are looking for one experienced beekeeper to add to our employees in Paeangaroa, Bay of Plenty.

The attributes we need are listed below:
-The beekeeper we are looking for needs a sound knowledge of bees, and experience in the field.
-The applicant should have a passion for bees and understand hive manipulation and hive management.
- A full clean car licence as a minimum – HT training may be given if required.
- A DECA is preferred but training is given if not qualified.
- Team Player, strong, fit, healthy, good communication skills, self-motivated and above all else honest.
- Can follow instructions and pass a drugs test.
- NZ resident or valid NZ work visa.
-Hours of work are normally 42.5 per week but needs to be able to work additional seasonal hours i.e. pollination
Kintail does not put its staff off during the winter,
