Static Officer Duties Across Multiple Sites

About the Role:
FIRST Security is currently seeking to recruit specialised multi-purpose Security Officers for our Wellington branch. We have multiple opportunities available.
Rotational relief type roster - working across multiple sites.
Requirements of the role:
Be available to work up to 60 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed)
Experience in security preferred but not required
MUST have 24/7 availability (days, nights, weekends). Some shifts are 12 hours–e.g. 6am–6pm, 6pm-6am
NZ Citizen but will consider Permanent Residence, NO Work Visa applications
MUST have FULL or Restricted Driver’s license and own transport. Will not suit if using public transport to get to sites
Certificate of Approval (COA) preferred; if not a holder, must be eligible to obtain one
Can pass specialised security clearances (also a must)
No criminal convictions and a clear credit check

Some duties include varied work:
Involved in all aspects of security from preventing security risks and breaches, access control, regular foot patrolling, general static patrol, CCTV surveillance, checking alarms going off, checking buildings are fully secured and locked
Providing high visibility security and a professional service at various sites to our valued high profile clients across Wellington
Providing security at the gates and foot patrolling
What you need to be successful in the role:
Impeccably groomed and take pride in your presentation (a must); a professional security superstar!
Excellent customer service skills (also a must)!
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (this is a must)!
Be physically fit and quick on your feet; be able to run up and down buildings
Hyper-observant; be good at de-escalating situations
Quick learner and high attention to detail a must
Time management a must and be punctual for work (a MUST)!
Understands service delivery requirements and is accountable for your actions
Must be able to work shifts, including early morning starts, weekends and night shifts.

Experience preferred but not always necessary.
