What will you be working on?

We require someone to assist us on our research dairy farm based 10 minutes out of Morrinsville. This is not the usual Farm Assistant role but far more exciting. Our GPS enabled, solar powered devices are designed to remotely guide cows. They require multiple levels of control software in order to record everything about the animal, understand it and act on this information accordingly.

Core Duties

Undertaking general farming activities related to keeping our test farm running
You will help in the data collection process of * our cow collar devices
Assisting in the training and testing of cows and product features
Providing input and insights into our innovative cow training processes
Maintaining the test farm facilities

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal person enjoys the outdoors and working with livestock. They will also be tech savvy and have the ability to figure out any task put in front of them.

We are looking for someone full-time with Saturdays and Sundays required every second or third weekend. Weekend days can be traded for weekdays if desired.
Desired Skills

Dairy farming and stock handling experience
Tractor driving and fencing
Calm with stock and good understanding of training animals
Keen to get stuck into whatever comes your way
Some technical understanding required
